Chicxulub
Chicxulub was once a beach town where wealthy Canadians and Yucatecos kept a beach home. Today, the population is more diverse. The Chicxulub area includes the community of Uaymitun, a long line of some of the most lavish beach homes in Yucatan. Chicxulub is home to Marina Silcer, where one can not only rent boats and water toys but also take lessons in how to use them. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are very popular now and contests in a number of water sports are held quite regularly. For those who own boats, Marina Silcer has a second docking facility, making Chicxulub a highly desirable location on the Emerald Coast of Yucatan.
