Costa Maya can only be described as a wonderland. Located toward the southern tip of the State of Quintana Roo, the Coata Maya benefits from its proximity to the Mexoamerican Barrier Reef System, as well as being located near Sian Ka’an Biosphere and Banco Chinchorro, a protected archaeological marine park. The Costa Maya consists of the small village of Mahahual and the even smaller village of Xcalak, but it is home to a large pier that is now a major cruise ship destination. The Costa Maya is one of the fastest growing areas on the Yucatan Peninsula. For anyone interested in fishing, diving, or searching for a green living destination, its all waiting for them on the Costa Maya.
